Owner/Partner

Chris started Flooring Direct of KC along with his father in 2008. He was in the construction industry at the time, while his father had worked in purchasing for both TWA and American Airlines. Together, they believed in the family values and Mom & Pop roots that a flooring business should have. With that, the company was born. In those early days, Chris ran the office out of his father’s basement while delivering samples to customers in his van. By 2019, Chris left the construction world completely to help run the flooring business full-time. Unfortunately, Chris lost his dad unexpectedly in the summer of 2020, but he has vowed to push forward and continue the vision that Flooring Direct of KC was created from. Chris cares deeply about each customer’s experience and the honest values that brought them here.

Away from work, Chris has two daughters along with his fiancé and soon to be three stepchildren. He loves golf, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.

Owner/Partner

In 2021, Ryan joined Flooring Direct of KC, bringing over 20 years of experience in the construction and manufacturing industries. Originally from Chicago, he moved to Kansas City in 2007 to lead the property management market for The Sherwin-Williams Company. In 2010, he joined Design Source Flooring, where he advanced from Account Manager to Regional Sales Manager, further honing his industry expertise.

Prior to partnering with Flooring Direct of KC, Ryan spent five years at Wenger Corporation in a variety of leadership roles, including Regional Sales Manager, Athletics Market Manager, and Senior Strategic Accounts Manager. His diverse background has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry and a strong focus on customer needs.

Ryan lives in The Northland with his daughter Claire. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family. His dedication to customer satisfaction is reflected in his commitment to delivering high-quality, personalized service.

Showroom Manager

April joined Flooring Direct of KC in 2025, as the Showroom Manager. April combines an extensive background in remodeling with a passion for transforming spaces. With over 15 years of hands-on remodeling experience, April brings a critical, holistic understanding of construction and design to the residential and commercial flooring industry, ensuring clients receive guidance that is both beautiful and structurally sound.

April's expertise is centered on providing exceptional customer service and expert design assistance. She excels at navigating clients through the complexities of material selection, color coordination, and textural choices, consistently delivering the ideal flooring solution that perfectly matches their project scope and aesthetic vision.

Originally raised in north central Missouri, her work ethic is rooted in strong local values. When she steps away from the showroom, April enjoys dedicated time with her daughters, Mollie and Maggie. She is also a passionate and forever fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. This unique blend of deep technical knowledge and friendly, community-focused service defines the client experience with April at Flooring Direct of KC.

Commercial Business Development

Sal began his career in foodservice over 25 years ago as a senior executive with ConAgra. Since then, he has a diverse portfolio which includes commercial real estate development, residential construction and multi-family property management. Sal is also a licensed real estate agent in Missouri and Kansas.

His attention to detail and a strong commitment to the needs of his customers has been paramount throughout his career, always offering the highest level of customer service. As a seasoned real estate professional, Sal has assisted many homeowners in updating their homes to list on the market.

Outside of his professional career, Sal, his wife Roxann and their five children reside in Kansas City Northland. Sal enjoys hunting, fishing and loves to cook for family and friends.

Interior Designer

Bri Letner is the owner of Dare 2 Dream Interiors and offers design consultation services to customers of Flooring Direct of KC. Brianne is a passionate interior designer, who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Kansas State University. She is dedicated to transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary sanctuaries that reflect the unique personalities and lifestyles of her clients. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to creativity, Brianne specializes in everything from cozy cottages to modern lofts and elegant custom homes, creating atmospheres that evoke emotion, functionality, and timeless beauty. Beyond her technical skills, Brianne builds meaningful connections with her clients, ensuring their visions are realized through close collaboration, transparent communication, and exceptional results. Warehouse Manager

After spending more than 25 years in hotel management and hospitality, Mitchell joined Flooring Direct of KC as general manager in 2016. Every day, Mitchell puts his vast experience to use, where he works with customers at each step with the goal to create and deliver the best customer service experience in the area.

Outside of work, Mitchell and his wife Christie have two dogs and a cat and loves to go fishing. Always in touch with his creative side, he is also an artist and guitar player.
